Sonikem's journey in the music industry started with rap and basketball, but he quickly discovered his passion for DJing and music production. He honed his skills over the years, playing in some of the most famous clubs and festivals around the world, including in Paris, London, New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Berlin, and Luxembourg. He has also performed at the International Festival of Extreme Sports in front of thousands of people and was the official DJ of Urban Peace, the biggest hip-hop event in Europe at the Stade de France, in front of over 20,000 people.

Sonikem is a composer/beatmaker who collaborates with artists from around the world, from Brazil to England, including France, the United States, Africa, Venezuela, the Philippines, Slovakia, and Asia.

By combining his expertise with diverse cultural influences, Sonikem creates tracks that resonate with the varied cultures of his artistic partners while maintaining his recognizable sound signature.

This ability to blend styles has earned him international recognition and a prominent place in the music world.

Sonikem, deeply drawn to Japanese culture, began traveling regularly to Tokyo, where he quickly established connections in the local hip-hop scene.

Thanks to the founder of the "Real Japanese Hiphop" media platform, he was able to meet and collaborate with several influential artists in the industry. This immersion in Japanese Hiphop not only enriched his musical universe but also opened doors to the broader Asian scene.

During his travels, Sonikem also met a Korean rapper, a pivotal encounter that allowed him to build a strong network within the hip-hop community in Korea. As a result, Japan and Korea have become key partners in his artistic journey.

Today, Sonikem works closely with artists from both countries, and many exciting projects are in the pipeline, highlighting the continued expansion of his influence in Asia.

Drawing on his African roots, Sonikem also explores other musical horizons by regularly releasing projects in genres such as Dancehall and Baile Funk.

For his Afrohouse and Amapiano creations, he uses a distinct pseudonym, Codjo Seignon. Under this artistic identity, he crafts tracks specifically designed to energize festivals and clubs around the world.

These productions capture the essence of African rhythms while blending them with modern sounds, offering a vibrant and dynamic musical experience.

Through Codjo Seignon, Sonikem continues to expand his influence on the international stage, bringing a unique touch to every set he delivers.

Sonikem, passionate about Jazz and Boombap Hip-Hop, naturally turned to producing instrumental music during the pandemic. This led him to create numerous Lofi albums, a genre that has become a significant part of his work.

To this day, he releases at least one Lofi track every month, making it the genre in which he has the most compositions, with over 150 tracks to date.

This prolific output underscores Sonikem's deep love for music and composition. It reflects his unwavering commitment to his craft and his inability to live without creating.

Through his Lofi projects, Sonikem continues to explore and express his artistic vision, further cementing his place as a dedicated and passionate musician.
